Emma Louise Low MUA
I started with a small home studio situated in Chepstow, South Wales, where I live with my husband, almost grown up children and two dogs. I have always had a fascination with makeup and I have been lucky enough to turn my passion into a full time job.
After a significant back injury, I was unable to continue my original career path and took the opportunity to retrain and invest in my love for makeup. I have over 20 years experience and been privileged to work with clients of all ages and walks of life - from models on set, to guests attending charity balls and the privilege of being a part of hundreds of weddings.
I thoroughly enjoy my teaching position at Weston College, where I lecture Level 3 Fashion, theatre and media hair and makeup and Level 2 Tech Qual in Hair and Makeup Artistry, the learners certainly keep me young and inspired.
I regularly volunteer for the charity "Look Good Feel Better" helping women with the physical side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I have both professional qualifications and I am fully insured. In 2020 I decided I had outgrown my small studio and i converted my garage into a Salon space - The Luxe Lounge, where I teamed up with award winning hairdresser Nicole Abraham.
In 2021 I was honoured to be awarded "The Welsh Hair & Beauty Awards - Creative Makeup Artist of the year 2021" but to go on to be awarded "Makeup Artist of The year 2022" was literally a dream come true.
I work closely with my clients to ensure the look they are hoping to achieve is exactly what they leave me with - I look forward to creating a personalised look with you at The Luxe Lounge.
